Concours entrants take to the road on the Thursday of Car Week. For 2026 the traditional route down Highway 1 to Big Sur has been replaced with an alternate route because of the Timber Fire; organizers planned the change with the California Highway Patrol, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office and CAL FIRE.
